Safety is extremely important, not only because of the value of our donors and recipients, but for the broader long term success of the initiative. You are advised to arrange a meeting in the places suggested in response to the first question. Choose places that are accessible to all parties, logistically and in light of any physical limitations. We urge all participants to choose locations where both parties feel comfortable and at ease. We do not encourage meeting in private spaces or disclosing private and personal information.
We are a platform for positive change and solidarity, and we have vetting protocols firmly in place, however, there is a small possibility of our platform being misused and abused. If you are experiencing any form of harassment or inappropriate messaging via the app please block the user and report them immediately. If you feel unsafe during a meeting we remind you that you are not under any obligation to finalize the donation, take similar measures to the ones you would take in any other situation- your safety always comes first! Any issues should be promptly reported. Please make sure to report these issues so that the individual(s) in question is blocked from using our platform. We want to keep our app as safe and friendly as possible and maintain it as a force for good.
There are many ways you can help us, find out how on this page

No. All items are given away for free and you should never ask or be asked to provide any form of compensation. If you want to contribute to the initiative you are welcome to do so by making a donation and help us maintain the app, even a small contribution would have a big impact
You can keep it or you can experience the joy of giving first-hand and donate it again on this platform.
When you download the app, you will be requested to allow access to your photos and locations. If you have inadvertently denied that, just go to dettings. In order to upload the photo you need to go to settings, then look for the app Riding the Rainbow and allow access to camera and location while using the app.
We are a small but growing initiative, unfortunately, this means that in order to make a difference to as many people as possible we do have to limit the number of donations per family, ideally to one item per child. You may receive up to 5 items per year. But if you have already received 5 items over the course of a year, you can send us a message describing your situation. We are open to accommodate different family arrangements and exceptional circumstances as far as possible.
We would love to work with you. After a verification, we may create an account for you so you can source your items directly on the app. Please contact us.
Any further question, do not hesitate to reach out to us.
